Our Programs

FriendshipWorks offers an array of programs aimed at reducing isolation and providing friendly support and assistance to the people we serve.

Volunteer with elderly gentleman

Friendly Visiting

Friendly Visit volunteers visit isolated elders in their homes to provide companionship and assist with simple household tasks or errands. Friendly visitors and their “matches” develop strong and lasting friendships that are rewarding to both. Additionally, our Walking Buddies component pairs an elder and a volunteer to walk together combining the benefits of one-on-one socialization with healthy movement.
