Medical Escort volunteers accompany elders or disabled adults to medical appointments, providing companionship and other personalized support along the way.
Why Medical Escort?
Age or disability can make it difficult for many elders and adults with disabilities to get to medical appointments. In addition, some may be isolated and have no one to help them arrive at appointments safely.
The Medical Escort program provides a simple solution: caring volunteers who give both emotional support and door-through-door physical assistance at the level an elder needs.

How It Works
Medical escort volunteers help with:
• lending a hand or an arm when mobility is an issue
• navigating confusing hospitals
• understanding doctors’ instructions
• picking up prescriptions
All that is needed to volunteer is a friendly, caring attitude and some weekday availability. We need volunteers with and without cars. This is a flexible opportunity.
